PTA
The Horsell Schools’ Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
What is the PTA?
The Horsell Schools’ PTA is a joint association for The Horsell Village School and Horsell Church of England Junior School raising funds to provide extra facilities and equipment for the children of both schools. As parents of children in either school you automatically become members.
We are a registered charity [1094182]
Each class has a class representative that facilitates information between the PTA and parents/carers.
What do we hope to achieve?
In 2024/25 we raised over £25K. In 2025/26 we are aiming to raise more than £25,000 to enable the purchase of build a new Playground and a new performance stage for the Junior School and exciting outdoor learning resources and iPads for the Village School. Name the Bunny Lead: New event! So, make it yours!
3 hours of your time over 2/3 weeks. You will be required to create a Canva poster using PTA Canva account, ask the Reps co-ordinator to share with the class reps, who will then advertise in their classes. Purchase soft bunnies to be won, create slips for children to write their names & bunny’s names. Deliver to the schools before the event (around 16th of March). You may wish to work alone or ask for 1 or 2 volunteers to assist you. Full support & love will be available from the PTA team.
Urgent Deputy roles: Current Chair will no longer be able to lead the fabulous PTA team from next year due to her child moving to the High school. So, we urgently need a deputy chair to work alongside her this year, with the view to succeed her. It is a very fun and rewarding role for someone who is passionate and driven.
Similarly, we urgently require a deputy treasurer to work alongside the current treasurer to support her at big events such as Christmas and summer fairs with the view to succeed her. This role requires attention to detail, good with numbers but the person does NOT need to be a professional accountant.
