PTA
The Horsell Schools’ Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
What is the PTA?
The Horsell Schools’ PTA is a joint association for The Horsell Village School and Horsell Church of England Junior School raising funds to provide extra facilities and equipment for the children of both schools. As parents of children in either school you automatically become members.
We are a registered charity [1094182]
Each class has a class representative that facilitates information between the PTA and parents/carers.
What do we hope to achieve?
This year we are aiming to raise more than £25,000 to enable the purchase of additional Chromebooks (for the Junior School) and a wellbeing pod for the infant school. The schools would not be able to provide these only with the Local Education Authority’s funding.
Still to come in our programme of events in this academic year are:
May:
-
Sat 17th May, 9:00 – 12:00, Pop-up Plant sale, at Horsell Village School
June:
-
Thurs 12th June 8:30 – 9:00, Little Recyclers (please use your own bags), at both schools

Fireworks Lead/Autumn Event Lead: A great family event and one of our main fundraisers. We are looking for a lead to run the event with full support and guidance from a spectacular team. We are also considering a Circus instead of the fireworks this year. You can team up with a fellow parent to Co-Lead.
Reps Co-ordinator: Class reps play vital roles on connecting the parents with the schools and the PTA. As a Reps Co-Ordinator you will be setting up WhatsApp groups for classes, ensuring all classes have reps, forwarding PTA communications to the reps. For roughly 1 to 2 (start of academic year & during key events) hour a week you can make a huge difference to the schools and the children. This role requires to be quick at responding to WhatsApp messages.
Chair/Deputy Chair: A great role to raise funds for the two schools and lead the fabulous PTA committee. You will be overseeing various fundraising events and providing support to the event leads. Only a few hours of your time will earn you a lot of friends and fun. The role will be vacant from July 2026. However, a deputy role from January 2026 for admin and smooth handover purpose will be beneficial.
