Welcome to The Horsell Village School website. I have been Headteacher at the school since September 2006. I feel very proud of our school and the children of Horsell enjoy being a part of a really caring school community.
We pride ourselves on our welcoming and caring ethos. We want each child and their family to develop a close relationship with the people who care for their children and help them learn on a daily basis. Children are happy and settle quickly here and visibly grow in confidence during their time with us.
We are well supported by our Governing body, the PTA and parents and carers. All our staff are dedicated and enthusiastic in supporting your child in their learning. They plan a curriculum that extends skills and knowledge and is both exciting and enjoyable.
Warmest wishes
Elaine Cooper, Headteacher

The Horsell Village School is a community school for children aged four to seven. It is situated in the heart of the village opposite the Church of St. Mary the Virgin and was built as a school in 1851. The school celebrated 160 years of teaching in 2011.
Over the decades the building has been sensitively extended, and today the school houses nine class bases, three classes in each year group, accommodating 270 children.
The grounds provide a variety of learning opportunities, play areas and an environmental area with pond and gardens.
