Welcome to The Horsell Village School’s website.
It’s a great pleasure to welcome you to our school through our website.
We are a three-form entry Infant School located in the heart of Horsell Village. There are 270 children in school aged between 4 and 7 years. Our team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff and governors are committed to ensuring the very best for every child and providing them with the opportunities to succeed in an ever-changing world.
Our school motto ‘Kindness to yourself, Kindness to others and Kindness to the World’ underpins everything we do here at The Horsell Village School. Supporting children to develop an understanding of how to learn and to express and manage the emotions within this is fundamental is supporting them to develop into lifelong learners as well as rounded citizens who will go on to make a positive contribution to society.
Our curriculum reflects the needs of our learners and is built on key principles which include enquiry-based learning, outside learning, mental Health and well-being and values-based approach. We focus on the key knowledge, skills, understanding and the vocabulary the children need in each subject, building on the previous years learning as they move through the school.
Community and the relationships formed is the golden thread that brings us all together. Here at The Horsell Village School we believe in working together to ensure our children get the best possible start to their educational journey.
